Student Scum

Out of all the people on this earth. Out of all the colours, religions, sizes and personalities of people, one type of people come lower than the rest. Students.

Students rack up tens of thousands of pounds of debt (Average £13,252 source), drink excessively, eat unheathy, fail to shower regularly, sleep late, stay up late playing computer games, steal coursework from Google, have unprotected promiscuous sex while experimenting with an array of mind altering drugs… And I am proud to join this elite class at The University Of Hull.

As a Computer Science student, I will be spending the next three (or four) years in front of a PC pretending to know a huge amount of crap. Of which, I have to learn and master C# and Java.

This is a short list of some of the books I will be purchasing over the duration of my course:
Visual C# How to Program (Paperback) – £40.49
Beginning Visual C# 2005 (Paperback) – £17.15
Programming C# (Paperback) – £21.08
Sams Teach Yourself the C# Language in 21 Days (Paperback) – £12.75
Learning Java (Paperback) – £21.08
Sams Teach Yourself Java 2 in 21 Days (Paperback) – £14.24
Java Cookbook (Paperback) – £23.43
AI Application Programming (Paperback) – £28.29
Art of 3D: Computer Animation and Effects (Paperback) – £27.68
OpenGL Game Programming (Paperback) – £28.31
Computer Science Handbook (Hardcover) – £75.05

So here’s to three (or four) years of being skint, stressed, drunk, stinky and blagging my way through coursework and examinations I don’t understand!
